Together, let's broaden the reach of COMMUNITY facilities.

increase access to healthy food

Meals on Wheels of Boulder

Meals on Wheels of Boulder delivers over 77,000 meals each year to residents throughout Boulder. The current facility in the West Boulder Senior Center is at capacity and continuing operation there is not part of the new Civic Area Plan. Meals on Wheels of Boulder will need a new home, and the facility at Diagonal Crossing will allow for expanded meal delivery services to more Boulder area adults as the population ages, as well as more offerings on-site, classes, and opportunities to share space with other organizations.

Growing Gardens

Growing Gardens serves over 24,000 community members, including 6,900 children. Funds from 2M will help them complete construction of a "Pollinator Pavilion" facility which will add significantly to their education and outreach capacity. This infrastructure will help Growing Gardens continue to grow the local organic food system and ensure that low-income families have access to fresh, healthy food.

Bicycling for our whole community

Community Cycles

Support an expanded community bicycle center that will triple the amount of space available to serve Boulder with bicycle recycling, sales of affordable used bikes, classes on bicycle safety and bike care and repair, including a fully-equipped bicycle maintenance workshop open to the public. This expanded Community Cycles facility will include a dedicated Education Center honoring local bike hero Leslie Bohm, with programs serving Boulder's disabled community, low-income kids and families, including our work-exchange Earn A Bike program.

Improve & Expand Recreation
